Craft beer taps pouring golden ale into glasses at a rustic brewery bar

Small-Batch · Lake Ann, Michigan

Beer that tastes like it belongs to you — brewed in small batches, poured with intention, and crafted to turn an ordinary evening into something you'll talk about for weeks.

Every pint carries the story of this place: cold nights, warm hands, and a stubborn belief that the best things are made slowly.

Our Story

Not a corporation. Not a franchise. Just a brewery that decided to do it properly.

Lake Ann Brewing started the way most honest things do — with a group of people who couldn't find beer they actually wanted to drink. We lived here, we knew the lake, we knew the seasons, and we knew that somewhere between the commercial lagers and the overpriced IPAs, there was a gap for something real.

So we built a brewhouse. We sourced hops from growers who still remember the names of their fields. We let our lagers age the way they need to, not the way a calendar says they should. And we opened our doors to anyone who showed up with curiosity and respect for the craft.

Today, every beer we pour is brewed here, in small batches, by people who care about the difference between good and honest. That's not marketing. That's just how we brew.

The Beer

Each one tells a different story.

We brew what we believe in, not what's trending. Our core lineup rotates with the seasons, and every batch is tested until it earns its place on the tap.

Golden pilsner in a stemmed glass with hop cones beside it
Pilsner 4.9% ABV

North Shore Pils

Crisp, clean, and quietly ambitious. A Czech-inspired pilsner that finishes like the first warm day of spring — all you want to do is stay outside.

Hazy IPA poured into a tulip glass with citrus garnish
IPA 6.8% ABV

Iron River Haze

Tropical fruit and pine in equal measure. This one doesn't apologize for being bold — it's brewed for people who want their IPA to taste like something actual.

Dark stout in a pint glass with coffee beans scattered nearby
Stout 7.2% ABV

Timberline Stout

Roasted malt, dark chocolate, and a whisper of coffee. This is the beer you reach for when the temperature drops and you need something that feels like a hug.

Amber lager in a pilsner glass with a golden glow
Helles Lager 5.1% ABV

Lake Ann Helles

Malty sweetness balanced by a dry, clean finish. Our most sessionable beer — the kind you drink three of without thinking about it, then wonder where the time went.

Wheat beer in a weizen glass with a slice of orange
Wheat 5.4% ABV

Breeze & Grain

A German-style hefeweizen with banana and clove notes that feel like a summer porch. Light enough for noon, complex enough for midnight.

Dark porter in a snifter with oak barrel staves nearby
Porter 6.5% ABV

Crossfire Porter

Named for the road we call home. Smoky, structured, and quietly powerful — a porter that respects tradition without pretending to be something it's not.

Our seasonal and limited-release beers change with the weather and the harvest. Stop by the taproom or call ahead to see what's on tap this week.

The Taproom

Come in. Stay a while.

Our taproom is built for the way people actually drink beer — slowly, in conversation, without rushing to the next thing. Exposed timber, a long communal table, and a bar that's seen more good stories than most diners.

We pour from 16 taps, feature rotating guest beers from Michigan breweries, and serve a small menu of locally sourced bites — charcuterie boards, pretzels, and seasonal snacks that pair with what's on tap.
